Most residential concrete step projects in Middle Tennessee run $800–$3,500 depending on the number of steps, width, height, and finish. A basic 3-step front entry with a landing typically costs $900–$1,500. Wider steps, more risers, or decorative finishes push the price up. What Makes Good Concrete Steps

The biggest failure point in concrete steps is the base. Steps poured directly onto unstable ground settle, crack, and pull away from the house. We always excavate, compact, and place proper granular fill beneath the steps. This is not optional — it’s what separates steps that last 30 years from steps that crack in 3.

We also form the steps with proper riser height (typically 7″–7.5″) and tread depth (11″–12″) to meet residential building standards. Slip-resistant broom finish or textured tread surface is standard on all steps we install.

Replacing Old Steps vs. Repairing

If your existing steps are heaving, crumbling, or have pulled away from the house, repair is rarely the right answer. A new pour on a properly prepared base is usually not much more expensive than extensive patching — and it lasts dramatically longer. We’ll give you an honest assessment when we come out.
